The 48 hour Film Project is an international contest where a team of filmmakers competes to see who can make the best short film in 48 hours. This crazy sleepless competition has led to some crazy wonderful films. For four years I have had the pleasure of judging the writing aspect of the local competition. In 2012 Hampton Road’s official selection, In Captivity won the International prize and went on to compete in the Cannes Film Festival.  WHRO put together a 3 part series on the project, interviewing those involved (including me), and airing the episodes on public television.
